Job summary

The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Labor Standards and Safety, seeks Wage and Hour Investigators (1/2) in Anchorage. This role performs investigations into wage and hour law violations, conducts on-site inspections, and provides education to employers and the public.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State and federal laws, including legal procedures.
• Experience in investigative work or legal research.

Responsibilities

• Investigate wage and hour law violations, including minimum wage, overtime, paid leave, child labor, and prevailing wage on public projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections and provide education to employers and the public.
• Answer questions via public phone line and email address.
• Assist in creating and delivering seminars to educate and advise the public.
