Seagate Technology in Bloomington, MN is hiring for a Wafer Process Development role. You will support and maintain cutting-edge semiconductor processes during off-shift hours, gaining exposure to deposition, etch, CMP, and photolithography while developing expertise in wafer processing.

The role emphasizes problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration with engineers across shifts to ensure efficient wafer flow and reduced cycle times. Strong communication and quick learning are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or Physics.
• Experience with data analysis and problem solving in a cleanroom environment.
• Willingness to work in a 12-hour off-shift schedule (Thu-Sun, 3:30 PM–3:30 AM).

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain processes for latest designs during off-shift hours.
• Gain exposure to deposition, etch, CMP, and photolithography in cleanroom tech.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to address operational issues and optimize wafer flows.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and specialists across shifts.
• Investigate root causes of process failures, coordinate experiments, and analyze data.
• Troubleshoot process issues on the factory floor.
