Job summary

onsemi is seeking a highly motivated Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team. The role involves loading wafers into production equipment, verifying specs, monitoring equipment, and ensuring productivity in a cleanroom environment.

The position features a night shift schedule (12 hours) and a sign-on bonus of $1,500, with additional eligibility for benefits. Candidates should be prepared to carry 15-pound wafer pods and work in a 12-hour compressed shift pattern.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior semiconductor experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through the manufacturing stage.
• Use analytic and deductive skills to determine best processing strategies for wafers and tool changeovers.
• Make minor corrections to process and equipment and identify when escalation to technician/engineer is needed.
• Perform SPC-based process diagnosis and interpretation.
• Interface with computer systems to complete job duties and follow production schedules.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks.
