Job summary
Lumentum is seeking an Equipment Engineer for the San Jose fab to own one or more tool sets and drive reliability, uptime, and cost reduction in a 24/7 clean room. You will design maintenance programs, write procedures, and analyze performance metrics to improve MTBF, MTTR, and yield across equipment lines.

Qualifications
- Experience in equipment maintenance in a 24/7 clean room manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement maintenance programs to improve tool availability and reduce cost of ownership.
- Analyze equipment performance metrics (MTBF, uptime, MTTR) to identify improvement areas.
- Write PM procedures, checklists, troubleshooting guides, and work instructions.
- Evaluate and recommend the selection of new process equipment.
- Plan, manage and execute equipment installations or upgrades to Fab or manufacturing equipment.
- Continuous improvement of reliability, availability, yield and quality as well as cost and scrap reduction support.
- Assist equipment maintenance technicians in troubleshooting down tools.
- Establish and maintain spare part BOMs for assigned equipment.
