Job summary

Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance of wafer fab tools, analyze MTTR/MTBF/OEE data, and update MPI documentation. The role requires on-site leadership and collaboration with EHS, quality, and operations teams.

You will oversee tool selection, qualification, and optimization to sustain quality, performance, and yield; develop staff and drive continual improvements in the QMS while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years hands-on equipment maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility
• Experience using FabTime, MESA, JMP, and SPC
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

• Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the department; hiring and termination decisions as needed
• Oversees and performs repair and preventative maintenance of all industrial tools and tool sets in the wafer fab
• Requires on-site presence to perform essential functions and be available to employees and management
• Assists with tool selection, qualification, and optimization to ensure quality, performance, and yield
• Reviews and monitors equipment/tool performance data (MTTR/MTBF/OEE); prepares reports and presents findings
• Oversees vendor or field service personnel during repairs or maintenance
• Updates MPI’s to keep information current
• Collaborates with EHS to ensure safety standards are followed
• Schedules training and certification to meet compliance
• Responds to equipment-related requests from staff
• Maintains compliance with Headway QMS and improves it as needed
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures
• Performs other duties of similar nature
