Job summary

Wolfspeed’s Durham site is seeking a Wafer Operations Equipment Technician to perform preventative maintenance on production tools. The role interfaces with operations, process, and equipment engineering to meet goals and maintain safe practices.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, with basic blueprint/schematics literacy. Work is on a 12-hour day or night shift, with 6:45 AM–7:00 PM or 6:45 PM–7:00 AM patterns.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and reading blueprints/schematics/maintenance manuals.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance on paper and electronic checklists.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment according to manuals and schematics.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks.
• Implement repeatable tasks to improve up-time and overall equipment performance.
• Support the 5S program for a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area.
• Provide equipment spare parts support as needed.
