Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer who will configure and manage Web Application Firewalls to protect client applications. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva, develop WAF policies, support audits, and leverage Terraform for IaC to automate deployments in a hybrid remote role that supports flexible schedules and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 1–2 years of web application security operations experience.
• Hands-on with WAFs such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Terrafrom for infrastructure automation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of web application security principles and ITIL/incident management.
• Certs (CISSP, Security+) a plus; excellent problem solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events for threats.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to remediate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments and ensure policy compliance.
• Stay updated on threats and deploy security improvements.
• Leverage WAFs including Cloudflare and Imperva; use Terraform IaC for deployments.
