Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls, monitor traffic, and respond to security incidents for client applications. You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva and leverage Terraform for automation, joining a cybersecurity team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include changing requests, problem resolution, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to enhance security postures. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in web application security operations focusing on WAF.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva required.
• Terraform familiarity preferred.
• ITIL familiarity and ticketing systems beneficial.
• Certs like CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to establish effective security controls for web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root-cause remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate security incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
• Utilize WAF solutions including Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Leverage Terraform for IaC to automate deployment.
