Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.

You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva, leverage Terraform IaC, and contribute to policy development, audits, and remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva WAFs.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing for incident management.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to establish effective security controls for web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Conduct root cause analysis and remediation of security incidents.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with threats and security technologies to enhance security posture.
• Utilize WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva and Terraform for IaC.
