Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and manage web application firewalls, protecting client apps from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents while coordinating with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.

You will work with Cloudflare and Imperva WAFs and use Terraform to automate deployments, while supporting audits and staying current with emerging threats in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 1-2 years of web application security operations experience focused on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva WAF solutions.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident ticketing systems.
• Certs such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events for threats.
• Analyze security incidents and perform remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and docs.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with threats and security technologies.
