Job summary

Atlas is seeking a WABO Special Inspector to provide essential inspection services on major transportation projects in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate is WABO certified, with preference for structural steel and post-tensioned concrete, and holds ICC and other related certifications.

Qualifications

• WABO certification required; prefer structural steel and post tensioned concrete.
• ICC (multiple categories) certifications preferred.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I preferred.
• Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, WAQTC, CWI and other materials-related certifications are a plus.
• Basic problem-solving and decision‑making skills required.
• Ability to meet timelines including short, long and emergency timeframes.
• Valid driver's license upon hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applicable inspections as scheduled.
• High proficiency with verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand project specifications and drawings.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of results is essential.
