We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with a strong background in functional, automation, and API testing to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing processes.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Required Skills:

• Functional/ Manual Testing, Automation Testing, API testing hands on experience with Katalon tool
• Test Execution: Utilizing Postman to create test scripts for RESTful APIs, Web Services and Microservices.
• Performing manual and automated tests to ensure the smooth integration of software components and systems.
• Defect Reporting: Identifying and reporting defects to development teams for resolution.
• Test Documentation: Documenting test results and preparing test reports for stakeholders.
• Database testing: experience in database testing
• Overall: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on functional, automation, and API testing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Functional Testing:

o Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional testing.

o Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.

o Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.

2. Automation Testing:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.

Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.

3. API Testing:

Create and execute API test plans and test cases to validate API functionality, performance, and security.

Utilize tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar to perform API testing.

Ensure thorough coverage of API endpoints and maintain API test documentation.

4. Quality Assurance:

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.

Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and issues.

Mentor and guide junior QA engineers as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in using test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
