Overview
Exciting contract Quality Engineer – Software opportunity with an established firm. This position will be hybrid local to Oakland, CA, Alpharetta, GA or Rancho Cordova, CA.
Contract Duration: 12-Months
Responsibilities
- The Senior Quality Analyst will work with both business and technical team members to ensure usability and functionality of products, services and systems.
- Analyze requirements and issues for test case development and execute and document all testing activities and results for new development, enhancements and issue resolution ensuring that the product and/or service meets the specified requirements.
- Interface with peer teams to identify, re-create and aid in the mitigation of defects or anomalies found in testing; document all issues in a defect tracking tool and report progress to management.
- Daily responsibilities include defining and executing detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases, reviewing requirements, prioritizing and coordinating testing activities, and analyzing QA metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams (developers, product managers, administrators) to identify new requirements to improve quality; investigate causes of routine defects and implement new processes or solutions.
- Install, configure and maintain testing programs and create reports to analyze data and identify solutions that meet business goals.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years with a Bachelor's degree as a QA Manual/Automated tester
- Ability to build and execute automated testing solutions/frameworks using Java/JavaScript and Python
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks
- Experience with test frameworks to build TDD/BDD and test reporting
- Experience with Selenium/WebDriver IO/PyTest/Jasmine/Mocha, etc.
- Good knowledge of SQL/JIRA and Agile lifecycle
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality control techniques and procedures
- Excellent data analysis skills with strong problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of quality assurance and production technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with change, create accountability, focus on the customer, and drive for operational excellence and results
