Job summary

Accelerate Education is seeking a Front-End Developer to design and build modern web applications, reusable components, and authoring tools that streamline curriculum creation and enhance the online learning experience.

Work with instructional designers, subject matter experts, UX designers, and developers to translate workflows into scalable, accessible interfaces, write clean code, and participate in GitHub workflows while exploring AI-assisted development to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience developing with Vue.js or similar component-based framework.
• Experience with Node.js, npm, and modern frontend tooling.
• Knowledge of accessible front-end development, including semantic markup and ARIA.
• Ability to write organized, maintainable, reusable, scalable code.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Vue components, internal applications, and interactive web experiences.
• Create intuitive authoring tools that enable non-technical curriculum developers to build and maintain online course content efficiently.
• Partner with curriculum leadership, instructional designers, subject matter experts, UX designers, and developers to translate workflows into scalable solutions.
• Develop customer-facing enhancements that improve learner engagement, usability, accessibility, and user experience.
• Translate design mockups, wireframes, and functional requirements into responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in GitHub-based development workflows, including version control, code reviews, pull requests, and collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development tasks through innovative tooling.
