Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University’s Data Empowered Learning team is seeking a Front-End Developer to design, build, and maintain intuitive learning analytics UIs using Angular. You will translate educational use cases into reliable software with a user-centered approach and contribute to AI-assisted features.

Applicants should have strong Angular/TypeScript skills and experience in NX monorepos, NodeJS workflows, and REST APIs, with a hybrid in-person obligation on campus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Applications Developer or Front-End Developer.
• Strong Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS skills.
• NodeJS workflows, build tools, and package management experience.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end apps.
• Git version control proficiency.
• Ability to shape architecture and system reliability.
• U.S. Citizenship – sponsored VISAs unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy responsive UIs for learning analytics using Angular.
• Collaborate with backend developers, data scientists, and stakeholders.
• Work within the NX monorepo and NodeJS environment.
• Maintain and enhance Angular apps for performance and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot front-end and integration issues across layers.
• Incorporate AI-assisted features with human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Research and apply advancements in front-end tech and AI practices.
