Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a VTSS Systems Coach to advance MTSS across divisions and schools. You will guide training, provide coaching, and support literacy, math, RtI and PBIS initiatives, collaborating with VTSS and VDOE staff.

This remote-friendly, full-time position emphasizes data-driven decision-making and statewide implementation. Applicants should have an advanced master's degree and MTSS coaching experience, with strong facilitation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s) in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, or related field.
• Current or past qualifying experience with Postgraduate Teaching or Pupil Personnel, or licensure in SPED or related fields.
• Experience in providing technical assistance to education professionals.
• Prior training in MTSS, PBIS, and/or RTI.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on VTSS training scope and sequence for divisions and schools.
• Vet content of professional development developed by VTSS training teams.
• Support VTSS divisions and schools in MTSS, RtI, PBIS implementation.
• Build internal coaching capacity at the school level.
• Plan statewide and regional VTSS training sessions.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance (in person, virtual, hybrid).
• Meet with divisions monthly and maintain training records.
• Disseminate MTSS materials and assist with grants and funding.
