Job summary

Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) seeks a Journeyman Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to join our team and support mission-critical video and voice communications.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining VTC systems, VoIP telephony, and conferencing endpoints, with strong emphasis on reliability, security, and user training for enterprise environments. A SECRET clearance and DoD 8140 IAT Level II are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting telecommunications systems.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically focused on VTC and VoIP technologies.
• Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or higher) meeting DoD 8140 requirements for IAT Level II.
• SECRET security clearance with the ability to maintain the clearance.
• Proficiency with enterprise VTC hardware from major vendors, such as Cisco and Poly/Polycom.
• Solid understanding of video and voice communication protocols, including SIP and H.323.
• Experience with VoIP phone systems, with Cisco preferred, and soft clients.
• Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP and LAN/WAN, as it relates to real-time communication.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test VTC hardware in conference rooms and other facilities.
• Integrate VTC systems with AV equipment (Extron/Crestron/AMX).
• Provide white glove pre-meeting setup and in-session support for high-visibility VTC meetings.
• Schedule and manage VTC sessions, including multipoint conferences via MCU.
• Install and configure VoIP hard phones and assist with soft clients (Cisco Jabber).
• Troubleshoot and resolve common office phone issues (connectivity, call quality).
• Perform routine maintenance and apply software updates to VTC codecs and endpoints.
• Serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for Help Desk issues related to VTC/VoIP.
