Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• High School Diploma or GED + 4 years hands-on field support OR Associate degree + 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• VTC systems installation, configuration, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Basic familiarity with Active Directory and enterprise security practices.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills with good cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Seeking a dedicated VTC Field Support Specialist (Level 1) to deliver hands-on technical support, field maintenance, and endpoint operations for enterprise communication environments in Columbia, MD.

In this role, you will install, configure, operate, and maintain Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, integrated audio/visual subsystems, and end-user hardware at customer and field sites. You will provide frontline diagnostics and troubleshooting for both hardware and software, resolve connectivity and device issues, support remote and on-site users, and ensure seamless daily operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VTC devices, codecs, displays, and integrated audio/visual conferencing subsystems.


• Deploy, maintain, and repair end-user computing devices and peripherals (workstations, thin clients, network cards, monitors, printers, VoIP phones, and radios).


• Perform routine hardware diagnostics, software updates, and preventive maintenance at customer facility locations.


• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents related to end-user equipment and desktop software applications.


• Provide clear, professional technical support and remote troubleshooting assistance to end users.


• Interpret and apply technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute field installations and repairs.


• Ensure all customer support interactions maintain high satisfaction and adhere to established service standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph.


• Education & Experience: High School Diploma / GED plus at least 4 years of hands-on technical/field support experience, OR


• Associate degree in a relevant technical field plus at least 2 years of relevant technical experience.


• VTC Expertise: Demonstrated technical skill in installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting VTC systems and peripherals.


• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system schematics, and architectural drawings.


• Systems Familiarity: Basic familiarity with Active Directory user accounts, group policies, and enterprise security practices.


• Communication & Independence: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
