State of Tennessee seeks a leader to manage Vocational Rehabilitation field operations across a multi-county region, guiding program delivery and stakeholder collaboration. You will oversee staffing, coaching, and performance, while maintaining strong relationship-building with advocacy groups and employers.

The role requires a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling with supervised VR experience, plus capacity to mentor teams and ensure compliance with relevant acts and policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and five years of full-time VR/social services experience, including supervision.
• Additional doctoral coursework may substitute for the required experience, month-for-month, up to two years.
• Within 90 days of hire, enroll in an approved educational plan to complete specified courses: Professional Orientation & Ethics in Rehabilitation Counseling, Medical & Psychosocial Aspects of Disabilities, Theories & Techniques of Counseling within 36 months.

Responsabilités

• Manages the daily operations of VR services for a multi-county regional coverage area.
• Ensures departmental and customer service goals are achieved through planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the VR program.
• Provides day-to-day oversight of VR staff including staffing, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
• Represents the Department to advocacy organizations, the disability community, state agency partners, community partners, employers, and other stakeholders.
• Mentors, guides, and trains supervisors and staff to stay current with evidence-based practices in the field.
• Conducts regular reviews of work performed, prepares for audits, and addresses findings.
