Job summary

Worcester State University seeks a VPA Assistant to Music Faculty for a work-study position. The role supports music faculty and student ensembles, handling setup, equipment inventory, and rehearsal logistics on campus.

Hours are 2-4 per week with Tuesday slots at 2:00–2:30 PM and 4:30–5:00 PM. Pay is $15.00 per hour. Preference for active musicians; on-campus employment for eligible students only.

Qualifications

• Experience as a musician and member of ensembles preferred.
• Must be available for on-campus duties and rehearsals as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down before and after rehearsals (moving chairs, music stands, etc.).
• Help maintain and inventory musical equipment and instruments.
• Periodically check the security of music practice rooms and rehearsal spaces.
• Occasionally move equipment between campus locations for rehearsals and performances.
• Photocopy parts for rehearsals.

SCHEDULE:2-4 Hours per week
General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide general support for music faculty and WSU student music ensembles:
