Part‑time adjunct faculty pool in Music to fill opportunities on a course‑by‑course basis as need arises.
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach in its Music Program. The Music faculty participate in a vibrant music technology program and oversee a diverse assortment of choral groups; jazz, string, and brass ensembles; and concert and stage bands. In addition, faculty teach introductory courses, intermediate thematic surveys, advanced topic seminars, and capstone practicums in music theory and history, audio arts, music technology, as well as composition, arrangement, and performance. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility, and an ability to jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.
$6,000 per course
