Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Management SME – VP to strengthen our cyber risk posture by identifying and helping remediate vulnerabilities across the enterprise.

You will partner with Technology, Engineering and Cybersecurity teams to drive risk reduction and mature vulnerability discovery aligned with a threat-informed defense strategy. This role is based in Whippany, NJ and commands a substantial base salary.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities across enterprise environments.
• Proficient with Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or OpenVAS.
• Familiar with patch deployment strategies across operating systems and applications.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls as they relate to vulnerability management.
• Ability to translate technical findings for senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Allocate risk ratings and remediation prioritisation based on standards, threat intel, host reachability, and service value.
• Develop vulnerability management operating model, policies and procedures for consistency in identification, remediation and reporting.
• Communicate vulnerabilities to senior stakeholders, vendors, and business units with reports and dashboards; provide improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with Threat intelligence and Cyber Operations to contextualise exposure to threats and set remediation timescales.
• Define requirements for automation tools to streamline vulnerability management across operating systems and applications.
• Report remediation status of findings against Key Risk Indicators to stakeholders.
