Job summary

Barclays seeks a Senior Vulnerability Management SME – VP to strengthen our cybersecurity posture by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities across the enterprise. You will partner with Technology, Engineering and Cybersecurity to drive risk reduction within a threat-informed defense strategy.

Located in Whippany, NJ, this role requires advanced vulnerability management skills, experience with Nessus/Qualys/Rapid7/OpenVAS, patch strategies, and threat intelligence.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools and risk-based prioritisation.
• Understanding of patch deployment strategies across OSes and apps.
• Knowledge of network architecture, firewalls and secure protocols.
• Experience with Windows, Linux and macOS security features.
• Hands-on testing to validate vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Ability to interpret CVEs and threat intelligence for risk decisions.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.

Responsibilities

• Allocate risk ratings and remediation prioritisation based on standards and intel.
• Develop vulnerability management policies, processes and reporting.
• Communicate vulnerabilities to senior stakeholders with dashboards.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Cyber Operations on exposure.
• Define automation requirements to streamline vulnerability workflows.
• Report remediation status against key risk indicators.
