Job summary

Capstone Partners, a leading investment banking firm, seeks a Vice President for its Financial Advisory Services team. The role centers on business valuation, financial advisory engagements, and client delivery in various corporate finance contexts.

The position emphasizes independent work in a fast-paced environment, with duties spanning valuation analyses, model development, due diligence, and client interaction. Travel may be required as part of engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 4+ years of valuation, investment banking and/or corporate restructuring experience.
• Prior experience in M&A, valuations and related financial advisory services.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with accounting and corporate finance.
• Deep analytical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional valuation credential such as ASA, CVA, or comparable credential preferred (not required).
• FINRA - SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 preferred.
• Experience with Pitchbook and CapIQ is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute business valuation and financial advisory engagements from initial analysis through final deliverables.
• Perform valuations of businesses, equity interests, securities, and intangible assets for M&A and strategic planning, buy-side/sell-side engagements.
• Perform valuations of minority and controlling ownership interests, including discounts and premiums analyses.
• Develop valuation models using DCF, guideline public companies, and comparable M&A analyses.
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance, key valuation drivers, capital structures, and market conditions.
• Prepare valuation reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate and perform detailed financial and business due diligence.
• Assist in marketing engagements and new business proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and professionals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
