Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Vice President, Project Manager - US Tax Product in New York City to lead the eW9/eW8 Hub development, shape strategy, and manage mid-to-high complexity projects within Enterprise Custody Services - Tax.

You will collaborate with US Tax Product, Tax Operations, Technology, and client teams to deliver compliant, user-focused solutions, applying agile practices and strong regulatory understanding.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Experience in a complex, highly regulated environment with compliance and operational risk frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Tax Information Reporting and Withholding (e.g., 1446f, FATCA, NRA, BUW, 8966 Reporting).
• Proficient in IRS Tax forms, due diligence, and various tax onboarding, withholding reporting requirements.
• Experience with the agile development process to ensure change requests are managed into backlogs and delivered quickly with the precise end to end testing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate business and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform business and product decisions.
• Experience working with Technology and third-party developers.
• PMP or Prince2 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development for the eW9/eW8 Hub from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end project management activities for medium to high complexity projects.
• Demonstrate technical experience with APIs and Kafka related to tax onboarding and withholding.
• Provide people leadership across PODs and cross-functional teams.
• Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences while tracking tech trends in finance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in US Tax Product, Tax, Tax Operations, Technology, and Relationship Managers.
