Job summary

Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company seeks an experienced Vice President, Underwriting – Small Business and Digital to lead strategy, performance, and growth across the SME and Digital channels, including the Agent Portal. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring deep E&S underwriting expertise, strategic judgment, and entrepreneurial drive to scale a differentiated Small Business franchise.

The role focuses on owning underwriting standards, growth targets, and distribution

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of commercial insurance underwriting experience with advanced knowledge of E&S casualty products, underwriting concepts, processes, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Track record of profitable underwriting portfolios and growth, profitability, diversification, and operational objectives.
• Strong relationships with wholesale brokers and distribution partners; understanding of driving agent adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute underwriting and growth strategy for Small Business and Digital.
• Set underwriting appetite, pricing expectations, terms and conditions, and authorities.
• Lead portfolio performance including premium growth, profitability, retention, and new business.
• Build relationships with distribution partners to generate high-quality new and renewal business.
• Communicate appetite, capabilities, and value proposition to agents.
