Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a seasoned Treasury Management professional to drive commercial deposit growth and lead strategic relationships with mid-sized businesses in the San Jose area.

You will collaborate with Treasury Management and branch banking leadership to deliver compelling proposals, manage onboarding, and ensure compliance with banking regulations while maintaining a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years of related work experience.
• Extensive B2B sales experience with small to medium-size firms.
• Strong working knowledge of Cash Management products and services.
• Effective problem solving, strategic thinking and attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong business acumen with ability to understand organizational goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Engages in the local market, both remotely and in person, to build productive commercial deposit growth.
• Develop relationships with qualified prospects and plan a strategy to win new deposits in the 10MM–100MM range.
• Align with partners to deepen existing relationships and maximize deposit balances.
• Assist with relationship analysis and prepare client proposals; coordinate onboarding with Treasury Management.
• Maintain thorough records of activities and ensure smooth communication across touchpoints.
• Be proactive, persistent, creative, and nimble in pursuing opportunities; work in both remote and in-person settings.
• Provide updates to Retail Banking staff and Commercial Lending Officers on developments affecting deposit growth; participate in monthly meetings and emails.
• Comply with all bank policies and federal/state regulations; dedicate CRA volunteer hours as required.
