Job summary

ING Americas in New York City seeks a Vice President for Coverage in Transport, Logistics, and Automotive. You will lead client strategy, originate multi-product financings, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for Shipping and Intermodal sectors.

The role demands 6+ years in corporate/investment banking with strong credit, structuring, and client management skills. Hybrid work in NYC with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or math.
• Min 6 years of relevant experience in NA transportation or related banking.
• Experience in structuring and deal execution in corporate/investment banking.
• Ability to train and develop junior talent.
• Series 79/63 or commitment to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Formulate client strategy and manage client relationships in Shipping and Intermodal sectors; lead origination and cross-sell.
• Support MDs/Directors; lead transactions in origination and financing structuring for Shipping/Intermodal sectors.
• Develop client relationships as primary contact; prepare pitches and presentations.
• Help achieve sector income, fees, cross-sell, ESG and KPI targets.
• Provide direction to deal teams and oversee origination and execution.
• Identify developments and opportunities in Shipping and Intermodal Transport sectors.
• Train and coach junior team members, shadowing Ds/MDs.
