The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Vice President, Track to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial stewardship for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of NYCT’s 821 miles of tracks and 2,667 switches. Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate from an accredited college or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Fifteen (15) years of professional experience.
  • Ten (10) years of Managerial/Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of NYCT’s mainline and yard tracks.
  • Prioritize and manage track projects, aligning them with divisional needs and the annual track program.
  • Oversee the expansion of critical components and secure funding for essential programs.
  • Drive mechanization and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
  • Enhance regular cleaning, maintenance, and construction functions.
  • Oversee substantial budgets allocated for track operations and track materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Subways, MOW, and System Safety protocols.
