Dataiku is seeking a VP Total Rewards to own compensation, equity, and benefits strategy for a global AI company. You will lead a lean, remote-enabled team, partnering with executives and the Compensation Committee to shape pay philosophy and governance across 18+ countries.
You'll oversee merit cycles, equity design, and global benefits, including compliance with pay transparency rules, while driving scalable, AI-powered processes that attract and retain top AI talent.
This is a senior individual contributor / people leader hybrid role - Head/VP-level in scope - at a late-stage AI company (~1,300 employees, 18 countries) likely on a path toward IPO or acquisition. The compensation at $230K-$260K base is competitive but not dramatically above market for a VP of Total Rewards at a global tech company of this scale; comparable roles at similar-stage companies typically range from $220K-$280K base, so this sits in the mid-to-upper range.
Skills you'll develop: global pay transparency compliance (EU Directive is a hot skill), executive compensation governance, AI-augmented HR operations, and cross-border equity design - all highly marketable in 2024-2026.
Yellow flags: "lean and decentralized" can mean limited operational support; you'll need to be a true builder, not just a strategist. The small team size means broad scope but potentially thin resources.
Overall, this is an excellent career move for a senior Total Rewards professional looking to own strategy at a high-visibility, globally complex, AI-forward company.
