Job summary

Cambium is seeking a Vice President, Thermal Protection Products to build our thermal protection materials and products business for solid rocket motors, hypersonics, and high-temperature programs. This senior role blends technical leadership with strategic commercial execution and boardroom influence.

You will partner with R&D and executive leadership to set direction, identify opportunities, and shape partnerships that bring Cambium capabilities to market in defense and aerospace sectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in thermal protection materials as engineer or scientist.
• 5+ years of commercially relevant product expertise in thermal protection materials for solid rocket motors, ablatives, and hypersonics.
• Experience leading the development and commercial transition of novel thermal protection products.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with teams, customers, investors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be the commercial lead for development of thermal protection products from concept through qualification and production.
• Partner with R&D to prioritize and resource thermal protection-related efforts.
• Build strategic relationships that advance Cambium’s thermal protection products in markets.
• Set and execute the strategy for Cambium’s solid rocket motor and hypersonics products.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and inform government solicitations.
• Align thermal protection strategy with Cambium's broader advanced materials roadmap.
