Job summary

Invenergy in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Vice President of Thermal Development to lead greenfield and brownfield projects including carbon capture, across U.S. markets.

You will oversee origination, budgeting, and collaboration with Engineering, Regulatory, and Commercial Analytics teams. This role requires a deep background in utility-scale development, strong leadership, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in a similar role within energy or power development.
• Experience with utility-scale project development and thermal energy.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Willingness to participate in development activities with local communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of greenfield/brownfield power projects including carbon capture.
• Develop budgets, economic models, and capital cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Regulatory, and Commercial Analytics teams.
• Represent Invenergy with customers and officials.
• Manage project lifecycle from origination to potential build transfer.
• Evaluate technologies and interconnection requirements.
