Job summary

Invenergy LLC is looking for a Manager of Thermal Development to oversee the development of combustion turbine and combined cycle projects inclusive of carbon capture across the U.S. This position can be based in either the Chicago or Denver offices. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in a similar role, a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and be comfortable with project development including budget management and market analysis.

The compensation ranges from $118,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually plus a bonus potential of 25% - 40%. Invenergy offers other benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a similar role and industry.
• Familiarity with utility-scale project development and thermal energy production.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop multiple projects supporting PPA and Build Transfer opportunities.
• Evaluate thermal power generation technologies for market needs.
• Support market entry analysis, site evaluation, and permit acquisition.
• Manage economic model development and financial evaluation.
• Collaborate with Engineering to determine technology performance.
• Create and manage project development budget and capital costs.
• Report and execute project management throughout development lifecycle.
• Work with Regulatory to understand market drivers.
• Collaborate with Commercial Analytics for system sizing requirements.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers and stakeholders.
