Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Vice President of Thermal Development to lead greenfield and brownfield projects, including carbon capture, across US markets. You will drive PPA origination, market entry analysis, and collaboration with engineering, regulatory, and analytics teams.

Based at Invenergy's US HQ in Chicago, IL, you will oversee budgets, capital costs, and project lifecycle from inception to execution, while managing relationships with customers, state and local

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role and industry.
• Familiarity with utility-scale project development and thermal energy production.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop multiple projects to support origination of PPA and Build Transfer opportunities.
• Evaluate available thermal power generation technologies including carbon capture.
• Support market entry analysis, site evaluation, permit ability and acquisition.
• Manage site acquisition, real estate, interconnection, regulatory approvals and permitting.
• Develop and manage economic model development and financial evaluation.
• Collaborate with Engineering to determine technology choice and costs.
• Create and manage project development budget and capital estimates.
• Lead project management throughout development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Regulatory to understand market drivers and key markets.
• Coordinate with Commercial Analytics for system sizing and operational requirements.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, officials, and stakeholders.
