Job summary

Teradyne seeks a senior leader to provide enterprise‑level technology leadership for organic strategy, M&A, and investment decisions within the Semiconductor and Product Test space. The role defines the technology point of view and informs decisions from corporate development to business units.

The role involves regular travel, engagement with executive leadership, and work location with onsite presence about four days per week in North Reading, MA, with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in senior technical leadership within semiconductor or similarly complex technology‑driven businesses.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline; MS preferred.
• Demonstrated experience defining and driving enterprise‑level technology strategy, including build, buy, and partner decisions.
• Hands‑on experience supporting or leading technology‑driven M&A, including technical diligence and target evaluation.
• Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor with enterprise‑wide influence and regular engagement with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Strategy Leadership (Organic and Inorganic) across major discontinuities; identify and prioritize technology opportunities and recommend build, buy, partner, invest, or license positions.
• Develop and roll out the Enterprise Technology Strategy Map guiding technology direction across business units; socialize strategy with stakeholders and leaders.
• Lead the development of an end‑to‑end M&A and investment strategy for focus areas requiring deep technical acumen; update strategy as execution unfolds.
• Lead use‑case creation and proof‑of‑concept efforts with M&A targets to validate technical fit and strategic value; connect diligence items to product or business integration implications.
• Establish and roll out technical diligence and integration standards for inorganic activities.
• Guide the technical diligence on new investments, participate in the CVC Technology Advisory Board for rapid decision making.
