Job summary

IDEX is seeking a VP Strategy for Fire & Safety to serve as the platform’s strategist and growth architect. You will collaborate with the president, business unit leaders, and corporate development to shape where Fire & Safety plays, how it wins, and how it delivers sustained profitable growth.

You will build a best-in-class strategy capability, translate strategy into execution with governance, and drive inorganic and organic growth across global units and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, or related field.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in strategy, corporate development, or related leadership roles.
• Experience in industrials/manufacturing, safety, or B2B environments preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to link market insights to outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed Fire & Safety platform strategy and growth priorities.
• Partner with BU leaders on priorities, resources, and execution plans across the portfolio.
• Lead portfolio assessment to identify growth, margins, and whitespace opportunities.
• Shape go-to-market strategy, segmentation, and differentiated value propositions.
• Establish governance, KPIs, and tracking for strategic initiatives and AI-enabled use cases.
