Job summary

IDEX is seeking a VP of Strategy for Fire & Safety to build and lead a best-in-class strategy capability across the global platform, guiding portfolio choices, go-to-market, and execution with business units and regions. This leader will act as strategic architect and execution partner to the President and Fire & Safety leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, or related leadership roles.
• Experience in industrials, manufacturing, or mission-critical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed a clear Fire & Safety platform strategy identified for where to play and how to win.
• Partner with business unit leaders to align strategic priorities, resources, and execution plans.
• Lead portfolio assessment to identify growth opportunities, whitespace, and adjacencies.
• Identify and prioritize high-value organic growth opportunities across Fire & Safety.
• Partner with commercial leaders to shape go-to-market strategy, channel priorities, and differentiated value propositions.
• Strengthen innovation by linking product vitality to market needs, trends, and growth priorities.
• Establish governance, KPIs, and value tracking for strategic initiatives and growth bets.
• Build market intelligence capability with credible insights into market size, growth, and competitive dynamics.
