Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a VP of Strategy and Corporate Development to join its Senior Leadership Team and drive strategic planning, growth via M&A, and cross-functional execution. You will partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to shape the company's trajectory.

Based in either Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY, this role operates on a hybrid 4+1 schedule, overseeing Strategy & Business Operations and Corporate Development teams and guiding major acquisitions and integration efforts.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of relevant work experience in strategy, consulting, M&A, investment banking, or product management.
• Significant experience in technology companies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with company leaders to develop strategies across Growth, Monetization, Language Learning, and New Subjects.
• Generate insights that influence product experiments and drive impact.
• Run company-wide strategy and planning, including Board of Directors meeting preparations.
• Support growth through M&A, aligned with priorities and cross-functional teams.
• Own Corporate Development end-to-end: sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing acquisitions; coordinating diligence.
