Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a VP of Strategy and Corporate Development to join the Senior Leadership Team and drive strategic planning and growth through M&A. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, you will manage Strategy, Operations and Corporate Development, working with product and technical teams in a founder-led company with an emphasis on execution and collaboration.

The role resides in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY with a 4+1 hybrid schedule, overseeing a team of ~10 professionals and shaping

Qualifications

20+ years in strategy, M&A, or related fields.
Strong understanding of Duolingo's business and growth opportunities.
Experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments.
Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to develop strategies spanning Growth, Monetization and New Subjects.
Generate insights that influence product experiments and drive impact.
Lead company-wide strategy and planning, aligning resources for board meetings.
Support growth through M&A, aligned with strategy and priorities.
Own Corporate Development end-to-end: sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and closing acquisitions.
Lead Strategy, Operations and Corporate Development teams (~10 people).
Encourage adoption of new tools for insight, automation and communication.
