Job summary

Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) seeks a Vice President, Strategic Programs & Industry Engagement, to lead a six-person team and expand a portfolio of executive convenings, learning products, and partnerships.

You will drive strategy across global and domestic offerings, align programs with audience priorities, and grow revenue and member engagement while strengthening SEPA's position as an industry convening authority.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of experience leading and growing a portfolio of events, programs, and education with direct responsibility for developing and commercializing new offerings.
• Demonstrated ability to identify unmet market needs and translate them into new revenue-generating products, programs, and events.
• Proven leadership in mentoring, developing, and empowering high-performance teams, fostering accountability and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to long-term strategic vision and high-level decision-making.
• Translate SEPA's goals into high-impact programs and learning experiences addressing critical industry challenges.
• Champion SEPA’s global strategy and integrate international insights into programming.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with departments to ensure value and market impact for convenings and products.
• Develop and nurture strategic alliances with peer organizations to amplify SEPA’s impact.
• Own the strategy, design, and performance of SEPA’s portfolio of executive convenings, conferences, learning products, and partnerships.
• Establish and track metrics reflecting progress toward SEPA’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with CEO, CCO, and CXO to secure global speaking engagements and elevate SEPA’s presence.
• Build trusted relationships with executives and regulators to convene conversations that matter.
