95 Percent Group is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the software engineering organization and unify multiple platforms into a single modern architecture. Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with 8+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience guiding an organization through Product Operating Model adoption.
• Deep fluency in Agile/Scrum at scale.
• Track record of consolidating or modernizing multiple platforms into one.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and K-12 or similar markets.
• Experience building an AI-first engineering culture with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap to unify multiple products into a single platform.
• Embed AI-assisted development tools into engineering workflows.
• Build and scale a global, agile engineering organization aligned to outcomes.
• Mentor engineering leaders and plan succession as the company scales.
• Drive data-first metrics (DORA, cycle time, quality, outcomes).
• Oversee platform reliability, uptime, security, and incident management.
• Make architecture, build-vs-buy, and infra decisions for scale and speed.
• Collaborate with VP, Product Management to map priorities to customer needs.
• Define data privacy and AI guardrails with Security, Legal, IT.
• Report engineering health and modernization progress to the ET.
