Job summary

Novastone Capital Advisors is seeking an accomplished senior M&A buy-side expert to serve as VP on our Investment Team, leading the full investment cycle from offer preparation through closing. This role combines direct oversight of NCA's investment professionals with hands-on M&A execution and is a fully remote position, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or principal investing.
• Experience in search funds or supporting search fund operators.
• Proven track record sourcing, structuring, and executing complex M&A transactions.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership and remote team experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end investment process for lower mid-market acquisitions in the Operator-Led Search model.
• Oversee valuation frameworks, financial models, and deal structures to ensure quality.
• Review and contribute to Investment Committee materials and discussions.
• Negotiate key deal terms with sellers and oversee diligence workstreams.
• Coordinate legal, tax, regulatory workstreams and ensure compliance.
• Manage relationships with investors, brokers, and advisors; guide searchers and CEOs.
