Job summary

Novastone Capital Advisors seeks a senior M&A buy-side expert to serve as VP on the Investment Team, leading the full investment cycle from offer preparation to closing. This role combines oversight of investment professionals with hands‑on M&A execution.

This VP position will play a central role in ensuring the highest quality of investment execution across the company, guiding the team and representing NCA to external stakeholders and is a fully remote role.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in private equity, investment banking, or principal investing.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience leading remote investment teams.
• Proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and executing M&A transactions.
• Deep familiarity with lower mid-market SMB buyouts (EV $15-80m).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to NCA's Investment Team; build culture, set objectives, and drive development.
• Own pipeline management, resourcing, and prioritization across processes.
• Design and improve end-to-end investment processes for Operator-Led Search model.
• Oversee valuation frameworks, financial models, and deal structures; ensure quality.
• Lead negotiations on terms; prepare LOIs and SPAs; review memoranda.
• Coordinate legal, tax, and regulatory workstreams; ensure KYC/AML compliance.
• Represent NCA to investors, sellers, and advisors; develop external relationships.
