Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Vice President to join the Corporate Reporting team in Corporate Finance. You will lead the firm\'s SOX readiness program, oversee technical accounting matters, and partner with Legal, Compliance, and External Advisors to ensure audit-ready processes. The role requires CPA, public accounting experience, and deep knowledge of U.S.

GAAP, SEC reporting, and ITGCs. You will mentor staff, coordinate with auditors, and drive cross-functional initiatives to operate like a public

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive public accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, or technical accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience is required.
• CPA license is required.
• Experience testing internal controls at a public company including ITGCs.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, PCAOB standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead key workstreams within the firm-wide SOX program, including risk assessment, scoping, control design, documentation, testing coordination, deficiency evaluation, remediation, and executive reporting.
• Provide SME across business process controls and ITGCs, evaluating control dependencies and system-generated reports.
• Design and execute the path to SOX compliance, including readiness planning and external auditor coordination.
• Develop and maintain process narratives, flowcharts, risk/control matrices and control documentation.
• Identify control gaps, develop remediation plans, and drive timely resolution.
• Report to senior management on SOX readiness, testing results and remediation status.
• Lead and support accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, governance, and SEC reporting capabilities.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex matters (business combinations, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, consolidation, etc.).
• Research new accounting standards and SEC developments and coordinate implementation.
• Develop accounting policies translating U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements into practical procedures.
• Support financial statement preparation, including U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements.
• Mentor team members and strengthen technical accounting and communication capabilities.
