ROI Executive Search is partnering with a privately held US real estate investment and asset management company to appoint a Vice President of Risk Management in Los Angeles, CA. You will own the full economics of risk across the platform, including insurance purchasing, retained risk, captive strategy, claims, loss control and emerging risk.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in risk/insurance for complex real estate/REIT platforms.
• Direct captive strategy ownership at governance level.
• Experience negotiating large programs with brokers and carriers.
• California real estate risk experience incl. catastrophe and liability.

Responsibilities

• Own risk economics across the platform: insurance purchasing, retention, and captives.
• Lead claims, loss control, and emerging risk management initiatives.
• Incorporate risk into acquisitions, dispositions, and capital decisions.
• Oversee business continuity and crisis planning; potential Investment Committee role.
