Job summary

BNY seeks a Vice President to join our Finance Regulatory Change Management team in Pittsburgh. You will analyze, define and prioritize regulatory reporting projects across multiple business units and coordinate among IT and finance stakeholders.

In this role you will apply regulatory knowledge to improve processes, develop functional requirements, and ensure auditable, compliant reporting. Strong SQL, Python and data management skills are required, with experience in Axiom ControllerView

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Data Analyst on large regulatory or business transformation programs within global financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of finance and regulatory reporting, including Capital, CCAR, and Statistical Reporting.
• Solid understanding of financial data structures and data management practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Big Data technologies.
• Product Owner experience is preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Axiom configuration projects, having worked in Axiom ControllerView Version 10 or later

Responsibilities

• Business Technology Liaison - Analyze, defines and prioritizes business requirements and functional or operational specifications for moderate to large Regulatory mandated projects of increasing complexity.
• Provides consultation to all areas of IT and business management for the application of Regulatory reporting to support business opportunities and planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
• Participates in and provides guidance on development of functional requirements and user documentation and testing.
• Uses broad knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology.
• Discusses and negotiates technical requirements and multi-departmental solutions, designs and implements innovative efficient auditable processes, and documents results for all levels of management. Identifies and communicates meaningful issues to management as part of the reporting process and suggests options to address and remediate.
• Coordination with cross functional team, stakeholders, and technology team.
• Works with senior management to ensure that the appropriate external reporting policies, methods, standards, processes, reporting and training are developed, applied and understood by impacted stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory reporting processes and knowledge of compliance in regulatory bodies. Recognized throughout the organization as the external reporting point of contact for a particular business/business partner area.
• Leverages the most complex regulatory reporting techniques to achieve business objectives. Manage all activities related to the development and production of external reporting. Plans and implements policies, procedures and reporting activities across multiple businesses and locations.
