Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Vice President, Fund Controller to lead accounting for a diversified portfolio of real estate credit investment vehicles. The role oversees US GAAP reporting, performance measurement, and investment accounting, while coordinating with fund administrators and service providers to ensure accuracy and governance.

The candidate will manage close processes, review complex financial statements, and guide teams through financing activity, covenant reporting, and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in real estate credit fund accounting or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and real estate credit fund accounting.
• Experience interpreting complex loan and financing agreements; analyze statements and covenant calculations.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage third‑party providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, performance measurement, and reporting for real estate credit investment vehicles under US GAAP.
• Manage close and reporting calendars with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations, and covenant calculations.
• Oversee accounting for loan originations, fundings, restructurings, and related transactions.
• Coordinate with asset management, originations, capital markets, and portfolio management on accounting matters.
