Job summary

Citi is seeking an Associate/VP, Quality Control in Investment Banking for its China Securities NewCo in Shanghai. The role combines senior risk oversight with deal execution support, ensuring compliance with CSRC and exchange requirements, and supervising deal teams.

You will define QC standards, review transactions, monitor due diligence, and guide post-issuance supervision, collaborating with institutional banking teams and legal/compliance to safeguard Citi and clients.

Qualifications

6–10 years of experience in financial services/banking.
Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate banking products and related regulations.
Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products.
Series 7 and 63 preferred.

Responsibilities

Assume significant levels of responsibility for project and transaction execution, new business development and growth.
Guide clients through financing transactions and lead due diligence and sessions for equity or debt offerings.
Work with clients, senior team members and outside advisors on M&A and related transactions.
Draft analyses, pitches, information memoranda, investor and management presentations; supervise analysts and associates.
