Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls team in the San Francisco Bay area. This hybrid role (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) will be based at our client’s office in Santa Clara and will require leadership of program-wide cost and schedule controls.

You will drive earned value management, risk analysis and performance reporting for mega projects, collaborating across engineering, procurement and construction teams to optimize value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 12 years of combined field and office project controls experience on mega projects, esp. transit/rail.
• Extensive knowledge of cost estimating methodologies, cost control techniques, and schedule management.
• Ability to interface with clients and contribute to business development.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal skills in high-pressure settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of program-wide project controls processes, governance frameworks and systems.
• Ensure integration of cost, schedule, risk, and reporting disciplines for program objectives.
• Provide real-time insights through enterprise dashboards and KPI monitoring.
• Oversee cost control procedures across projects, budgets, forecasts and EV analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to improve cost-effectiveness.
