Responsibilities

  • Partner with Distribution Partners, Operations, Claims leadership, and relevant business units to manage profitability and growth of automobile and property products
  • Formulate, develop, and execute local and countrywide line-of-business strategies at a regional level
  • Lead a technical product management team in analysis, trend selections, and rate and underwriting recommendations
  • Develop state profit and growth strategies, including product positioning and marketing
  • Lead countrywide product management initiatives at the regional level
  • Develop rate revision schedules with systems integration and field teams
  • Make strategic decisions using market, competitor, regulatory, legal, claims, and distribution-channel insights
  • Negotiate rate changes and prepare business review packages
  • Respond to departments of insurance regarding rate filings and market conduct exams
  • Consult on consumer complaints and other regulatory interactions
  • Manage implementation of standing orders, countrywide and underwriting, and pricing guidance
  • Address media inquiries related to local market actions
  • Lead financial analysis of territory results and present findings to senior management
  • Build regional strategy expertise with distribution partners and understand competitors and alternative markets
  • Maintain relationships with state regulators through meetings, department visits, and industry groups
  • Attract, develop, motivate, and retain critical talent
  • Perform other duties as assigned
